Bro. Wayne & Mrs. Kym May

Wayne and Kym May serve as directors of the Shenandoah Girls' Haven, bringing more than 25 years of youth ministry experience and a heart for pointing young people to Christ. Wayne is a retired veteran with 24 years of military service, while Kym has taught in a Christian school for nearly three decades.  Their lives reflect a steady commitment to discipleship, family, and guiding the next generation toward a lasting relationship with Jesus. Together they have already raised three children who are now grown, married, and faithfully serving in ministry themselves.

Miss Abby Henry

Abby Henry grew up at Shenandoah Baptist Church, so the Haven has always been part of her story. She attended Pensacola Christian College, graduating with a degree in Professional Writing. While there, she felt the Lord leading her to add a Biblical Counseling minor, where she learned the importance of pointing others to Christ and the sufficiency of His Word. After graduation, Abby returned to Shenandoah and now serves as assistant director of the Shenandoah Girls Haven.

Mrs. Vivian Hargrave

Mrs. Vivian Hargrave has been the lead teacher for the Shenandoah Haven Academy since 2021. She attended college and served in the military after High School, followed by 30 years of teaching at the Faith Baptist Academy in Franklin, KY. We are grateful for her willingness to serve in our Girls Haven after she relocated to Cleveland, TN. She accepted the role with a desire not only to help students academically but also to guide them toward living for Christ.
